Linocut Prints. Letterpress Prints.

Christine Nikander is a Finnish printmaker. Her work is distinctly Scandinavian and northern European. She makes simple, modern, minimalistic prints, that often feature landscapes or animals found in the forests of northern Europe.

When creating prints, Christine makes use of a variety of old printing techniques. Two of her favorite techniques are linocut and letterpress printing. Christine does not own large machines, but instead she does the printing step-for-step by hand. You can read more about the process by clicking on the links below.
