After graduating from law school, Christine Nikander undertook a training contract at a large law firm in Amsterdam. This is where she was initially trained to practice corporate and commercial law — on the job, through real-life legal practice. She also completed coursework on corporate law as a part of her LL.M. at Columbia Law School.
Christine has three years of experience as an associate at a corporate law firm, working for large multinational corporations. She has also worked in-house. Christine has worked in the fields of intellectual property, international arbitration, commercial litigation, EU competition law, and corporate social responsibility. She has a fair amount of experience with the negotiation and drafting of contracts licensing out and protecting IP rights. She has also drafted the corporate social responsibility clauses and ethical guidelines for a number of enterprises.

Christine has prior project management experience in the coordination of cartel follow-on damage claims litigation, insurance claims litigation, patent litigation, commercial litigation on long-term manufacturing and supplies agreements. The project management in these matter consisted mainly in coordinating between several international law firms & the client(s) on the drafting and filing of court and litigation documents.
